U.23 Vietnam was honored by the Organizing Committee
On the afternoon of August 27, the ASEAN United FC fanpage of the U.23 Southeast Asia tournament's organizing committee announced the typical lineup of the U.23 Southeast Asia tournament, witnessing the dominance of the U.23 Vietnam team, after defeating the host U.23 Indonesia 1-0 in the final match to win the tournament for the third consecutive time.
Accordingly, a total of 6 players from the Vietnam U.23 team were honored, including, in order from defense up, central defender Nguyen Hieu Minh, Pham Ly Duc, midfielder Nguyen Xuan Bac, Nguyen Van Truong, Nguyen Phi Hoang and striker Nguyen Dinh Bac.
Notably, the host team U.23 Indonesia entered the final but only had 2 faces named: center back Kadek Arel and striker Jens Raven, while the Philippines stopped in the semi-finals with 3 people: goalkeeper Nico Guimaraes, right back Noah Leddel and midfielder John Lucero.
Thai people are absent.

When this list was announced, it received many different opinions, including some "War Elephant" fans who were surprised why no Thai players appeared in the lineup of the 11 best names of the U.23 Southeast Asian tournament.
This is probably the rare occasion that Thai players are absent from the typical lineup in a tournament at the Southeast Asian level. But if you look at the impressive performance of the Philippines, even overwhelming the host Indonesia, it is understandable.
Some fans humorously called this typical team "Nguyen XI" or "Nguyen FC", when there were 5 players with the last name Nguyen (unlike in Vietnam, where most foreigners call by their first name). This shows the great recognition of regional fans for the convincing victory of the U.23 Vietnam team.
