The Provincial People's Committee received a delegation from the Korea Internet and Information Security Agency (KISA).

On the morning of November 21, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hanh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, received a delegation of the Korean Internet and Information Security Agency (KISA) attending the Vietnam International Digital Week 2024, led by Mr. Lee Sang Jung, Chairman of KISA Korea, to learn about and research cooperation opportunities to ensure network safety and security.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Hanh, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee, presented a gift symbolizing Ha Long Bay to Mr. Lee Sang Jung, Chairman of KISA Korea.

At the meeting, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hanh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, informed the working delegation about the investment and development of information technology systems, promoting digital transformation in the province. She emphasized that Quang Ninh is one of the pioneering provinces in applying information technology in managing and developing the digital economy and digital society. Currently, most of the province's administrative procedures are carried out online with a synchronous information infrastructure, ensuring network security and safety; 100% of citizens are granted electronic identification and linked with ministries and branches to manage social issues. Quang Ninh also always focuses on training and applying science and technology in ensuring network information security from the province to the commune and has achieved many positive results. In particular, Quang Ninh has issued a separate resolution on digital transformation in the province and is currently promoting the direction of people and businesses to carry out comprehensive digital transformation in all fields. Thanks to that, Quang Ninh province has always maintained its position as a growth pole of the Northern region with 9 consecutive years of double-digit GRDP growth.

In the coming time, Quang Ninh hopes to further strengthen cooperation with KISA Korea in deploying models and sharing experiences in network security management. In particular, the focus is on developing early warning technologies, network security monitoring, malware prevention... to prevent cyber attacks; promoting exchanges and learning experiences at KISA to improve network security level; KISA Korea is interested in supporting and coordinating with Quang Ninh in organizing conferences and training programs on network security. At the same time, Quang Ninh is also very interested in attracting Korean enterprises to invest in the province by creating favorable conditions for development, so it hopes that KISA Korea will promote interest and call on Korean enterprises to learn and invest in the fields of processing, manufacturing, information technology... in the province. At the same time, Quang Ninh province also hopes that KISA Korea will be a bridge to introduce and promote Quang Ninh tourism to Korean people, in order to promote Korea - Quang Ninh tourism activities in the coming time.

Mr. Lee Sang Jung, Chairman of KISA Korea, highly appreciated the solemn welcome from Quang Ninh province for the working delegation. At the same time, he highly appreciated the development, potential and strengths in science and technology of Quang Ninh. In the coming time, Mr. Lee Sang Jung hopes that the two sides will increase support, expand human resource exchange, and cooperate in the field of safety, network security as well as digital transformation.
