Van Don: Received 114 units of blood

On the morning of May 12, in Quan Lan commune (Van Don district), the Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation (VBD) of Van Don district organized the 2023 Blood Donation Festival.

With the theme "Red drops of Van Don commercial port", the Blood Donation Festival attracted hundreds of civil servants, public employees, armed forces, youth union members and people in Quan Lan and Minh Chau communes to participate.

As a result, the Organizing Committee collected 114 units of blood, reaching 114% of the plan. This amount of blood is used to treat patients at medical facilities in the province. This is a meaningful and practical activity in response to the "Humanitarian Month" and the "Red Journey" program in 2023.

It is known that from 2018 to now, the Steering Committee for Blood Donation Mobilization of Van Don district has chosen the island communes of Quan Lan and Minh Chau to organize annual blood donation activities. As a result, after 6 blood donation campaigns in this island commune cluster, a total of 574 units of blood have been received so far.

Leaders of the Van Don District Red Cross Society presented certificates of merit to collectives and individuals with achievements in the Red Cross movement.

On this occasion, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society and the Red Cross Society of Van Don district awarded certificates of merit to collectives and individuals in Quan Lan and Minh Chau communes with outstanding achievements in the 2022 Red Cross movement.

On the occasion of "Humanitarian Month" in 2023, the Red Cross Association of Van Don district gave gifts to 5 households in difficult circumstances.
