Towards the 33rd anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam - Korea relations (1992 - 2025), on the afternoon of September 30, the Vietnamese Ministry of Finance coordinated with the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Vietnam to organize a dialogue conference with Korean enterprises on tax and customs policies in 2025. The conference attracted the participation of 50 Korean enterprises operating in Vietnam.
At the conference, representatives of the Tax Department, the Customs Department and units of the Ministry of Finance exchanged information on new legal documents on tax and customs issued from March 2024 to present such as: Law on Value Added Tax No. 48; Law on Special Consumption Tax No. 66 and related decrees and circulars.
In addition, Korean businesses also proposed solutions surrounding issues such as tax refunds, import and export taxes, etc.
Based on business opinions, the Ministry of Finance will continue to research, review, and perfect appropriate tax and customs policies to create maximum convenience for businesses.
The representative of the Ministry of Finance also affirmed: The Ministry of Finance always cares about and actively supports businesses, including Korean businesses. In 2025, the Ministry has researched and submitted to competent authorities appropriate support solutions on taxes, fees, charges and land rents to be applied from the beginning of the year, with a support value of over VND 241,000 billion.
