Vietnam condemns attack on Iranian embassy building in Syria
"Vietnam calls on relevant parties to exercise restraint, not use force, resolve disagreements by peaceful means, avoid escalating tensions in the region, comply with international law, including the 1961 Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, and ensure the lives, security and safety of citizens, members of representative agencies and their families," Ms. Hang affirmed.
At least seven people were killed in an airstrike suspected to have been carried out by Israel on the Iranian consulate in Damascus on the evening of April 1. This is considered the most serious airstrike by the Israeli army in Syria in recent months.
According to Syria's SANA news agency, a missile airstrike carried out by an Israeli military drone completely destroyed the Iranian consulate building, located right next to the Iranian Embassy in the capital Damascus.
