According to a VNA reporter in Phnom Penh, Viettel IDC - a member company of the Viettel Military Industry-Telecoms Group, Vietnam's leading enterprise in the field of data centers and cloud computing - officially launched the international cloud computing brand Vcloudia in Cambodia.
This is an open and comprehensive “Cloud” ecosystem, developed to support Cambodian businesses and organizations to harness the power of technology to accelerate digital transformation.
Speaking at the launch ceremony on August 19, Viettel IDC Director Le Ba Tan said that the data center and cloud computing service industry in Cambodia is still in its infancy but will soon make a strong breakthrough.
With a young population, stable economy , high internet penetration and the Royal Government's strong commitment to digital transformation, Cambodia is considered one of the most potential markets in Southeast Asia for digital infrastructure.

According to Mr. Le Ba Tan, Vcloudia is the first step in Viettel IDC's journey to internationalize cloud computing, designed specifically for Cambodia based on technology and expertise proven in Vietnam.
This brand not only provides technology infrastructure but also demonstrates Viettel IDC's long-term commitment to accompany Cambodia's digital economic development, similar to how the company has supported Vietnam for nearly 20 years.
On the basis of friendship and trust between Vietnam and Cambodia, these commitments will be realized, bringing practical values to the government , businesses and the community.
The launching ceremony in Phnom Penh was attended by representatives of the world's leading technology group Qualcomm. In the coming time, Viettel IDC and Qualcomm will cooperate to deploy Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions suitable for the needs of Cambodian businesses, helping to exploit data, optimize operations and build new business models.

According to information and communications technology (ICT) reports, demand for digital infrastructure in Cambodia is growing at double-digit annual rates, especially in the banking, e-commerce, logistics, education and e-government sectors.
Ipsos research forecasts the cloud computing market in Cambodia to reach a size of US$371 million by 2027, with a compound growth rate of 17.1%. This shows the urgent need for a modern, flexible and secure technology platform to serve operations in the digital age.
The launch of Vcloudia is considered a turning point for Viettel IDC and the Cambodian technology market.
In the context of accelerating digital transformation, a “Cloud” platform designed to suit market characteristics will be an important lever, helping businesses improve efficiency, expand operations and increase their position in the global value chain./.
