Viettel introduces Vi An and 5G Chipset at global technology event

Recently, at the Mobile World Congress 2024 (MWC 2024) taking place in Barcelona (Spain), the Military Industry - Telecommunications Group ( Viettel ) officially launched the global 5G chipset technology and Vi An - a human built with artificial intelligence (Human AI).

The 5G DFE chip is designed entirely by Viettel engineers. This chip is capable of calculating 1,000 billion calculations per second, meeting the common 5G standard of 3GPP - an association of organizations developing protocols for mobile telecommunications, equivalent to 5G chips of the world's top 10 semiconductor companies.

In addition, Viettel also introduced a network system that automatically optimizes performance, saves energy, and automatically resolves application problems for both 5G and 4G. This system is being optimally deployed in Vietnam and 10 countries where Viettel is investing and doing business.

Also at MWC 2024, Viettel introduced AI applications for customer interaction, finance, and entertainment called Vi An. This is Vietnam's first Human AI (artificial intelligence human) that creates a new way of interaction. Vi An can chat with customers in a friendly and natural way.

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Chien, Deputy General Director of Viettel Group, said that attending this event, Viettel is ready to cooperate strategically with technology corporations around the world and transfer technology with partners to together create the highest quality products to serve customers.

MWC 2024 is the largest annual event in the mobile industry taking place from February 26 to February 29 with the participation of 2,400 technology businesses, and is expected to have nearly 85,000 direct visitors.
