Vinh Long takes good care of the families of new soldiers leaving for military service.

Attending the event were Lieutenant General Le Van Tien, Deputy Minister of Public Security; Lieutenant General Nguyen Xuan Dat, Commander of Military Region 9; Secretary of Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee Bui Van Nghiem; Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial People's Committee Lu Quang Ngoi.

According to the report of the Military Service Council of Vinh Long province, 100% of the recruited citizens are union members, and 14.29% of the citizens have university degrees. The local Military Service Councils continue to effectively implement the military rear policy and promptly resolve any difficulties and problems that arise.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of Mang Thit District People's Committee Nguyen Van Dien said: "Living in peace and happiness like today, we are even more grateful to the previous generations who did not fear hardship and sacrifice for the cause of national liberation, national unification, and protecting the entire territory of Vietnam.

Following the tradition of the heroic homeland of Mang Thit, every year hundreds of citizens of the district register and volunteer to join the army. Many citizens trained in the military and police environment have become military officers and professional soldiers serving long-term in the armed forces.

Mr. Nguyen Van Dien emphasized that the demobilized soldiers who returned to their localities continued to participate in work, and are now cadres in Party, government, Fatherland Front and mass organizations in the localities, actively contributing to the construction and development of their homeland. That is the sentiment, the noble responsibility, the good qualities of the youth of our district, we are forever proud to promote.

“Today, once again, the beloved children of Mang Thit homeland are leaving for military service. With the honor and pride of being revolutionary soldiers, I hope that in the new environment, young people will promote the heroic tradition of the People's Army, the People's Police and the tradition of Uncle Ho's soldiers.

I believe that the new recruits will strictly abide by the discipline of the Army and the Police, must constantly practice the ethics and qualities of revolutionary soldiers, strive to study to improve their capacity, knowledge of security and military, enhance their political qualities, and excellently complete the assigned tasks," emphasized the Chairman of the People's Committee of Mang Thit district.

Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial People's Committee Lu Quang Ngoi commended the family that supported the new recruits to join the army.

At the ceremony, the Provincial and Mang Thit District Military Service Council also awarded families whose children had joined the army.
