Join hands to create a modern and integrated healthcare ecosystem
The cooperation agreement between Vinmec and VNU-HCM marks an important step forward in creating an ecosystem connecting healthcare, training and research. This is part of Vinmec's long-term strategy to build an international standard training - research - clinical ecosystem right in Vietnam. VNU-HCM is one of the first units that Vinmec has signed a cooperation agreement with.
Prof. Dr. Tran Trung Dung and the delegation of Vinmec Healthcare System visited the training facilities of VNU-HCM.
Modern medicine cannot be separated from education and science and technology, so the combination of clinical practice, applied research and multidisciplinary training will lay the foundation for new breakthroughs in public health care.
“In the general development of the world, the medical and healthcare sector will have a strong shift to an integrated model between medicine and other sciences such as artificial intelligence (AI), big data (Big Data) ..., to create common scientific products with high applicability, supporting doctors in examination and treatment. The combination between medical units and training facilities is a step to create and develop an innovative and creative ecosystem of both units", Prof. Dr. Tran Trung Dung - General Director of Vinmec Healthcare System - shared about the current medical development trend.

With the advantage of being a medical unit with a system of hospitals and clinics across the country, Vinmec can carry out scientific research on a large scale - something that few medical facilities can do. At the same time, Vinmec's extensive international cooperation network is also an ideal practical environment to realize training and research initiatives from a team of experts, lecturers and leading scientists of VNU-HCM.
From there, Vinmec wishes to accompany VNU-HCM to build an innovative ecosystem in healthcare, not only training generations of skilled doctors but also developing scientists with innovative, multidisciplinary thinking; flexible in applying and developing technology, bringing Vietnamese medicine into a new stage, quickly integrating with the general development of world medicine.
Cooperation in developing high-quality human resources for the country's healthcare system
Associate Professor Dr. Vu Hai Quan - Director of VNU-HCM - affirmed: "To create humanistic values for society, units need to cooperate sincerely and have specific strategies. VNU-HCM and Vinmec both possess their own resources and strengths. If both sides share and effectively exploit resources through long-term cooperation, it will help maximize the advantages of each side, contributing to the overall development of the country's healthcare system."
