Bursting with emotions on the day "Today, I go to first grade"

At Nguyen Binh Khiem Primary School (Sai Gon Ward), 349 first graders were welcomed with many fun activities throughout the school yard. The warm and thoughtful gifts were prepared by the teachers many days in advance.

On the first day of first grade, the children were taken to their classroom by their teachers to get acquainted with their homeroom teacher and nanny.

Each first grade class has a booth welcoming students on their first day of school with interesting gifts. There are piggy banks symbolizing students born in the year of the pig in 2019; there are small stars that the students put into the big star box of the class; and there are moon cakes that are carefully wrapped.

After visiting and playing games, first graders are led by their teachers to their classrooms to receive their classes and be told what to remember before starting their official school days.

Ms. Do Ngoc Chi, Principal of Nguyen Binh Khiem Primary School, said that entering first grade is an important first step in the journey of going to school. Saying goodbye to beloved kindergarten to enter primary school with many interesting things waiting for them.

"Today, 349 little stars of the school shine together in the sky of Nguyen Binh Khiem. Each star has its own color and dream. Together, you will create a sparkling sky, full of laughter, friendship and warm love..." - Ms. Chi sent a message.

On the morning of August 20, most primary schools across the city organized joyful activities to create a joyful and friendly atmosphere on the first day of primary school.
