The special Malaysian royal news segment aired at 8 p.m. after being pre-recorded in the morning during the visit of King Abdullah Ahmad Shah and Queen Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah to the headquarters of the Media Prima Group in Selangor, Malaysia, according to The Straits Times .
In 10 minutes, King Abdullah and Queen Tunku Azizah read three news stories as news anchors.
The special Malaysian royal news broadcast will be at 8:00 p.m. on January 17.

King Abdullah and Queen Tunku Azizah's news report quickly attracted hundreds of comments on social media, with some netizens writing that they were proud of the king and queen's performance. Among them was Facebook user Adrian Ratnasamy, who called them "the cutest king and queen ever."
Many took the opportunity to thank King Abdullah for his reign during a difficult period, when Malaysia was locked down to deal with Covid-19, as well as political instability when the country had four prime ministers since the 2018 general election.
