Strong from party development work

Dong Thai commune was established on the basis of merging 3 communes Nam Thai A, Nam Thai and Dong Thai. The commune Party Committee has 48 party cells and affiliated party committees with 1,190 party members. In response to new requirements, the building of a clean and strong grassroots party organization and improving the quality of party members is identified by the commune Party Committee as a key and regular task.

To create a long-term, quality source of succession, the Commune Party Committee directed the Party cell to review and select outstanding and prestigious members in the community to train and introduce them for admission. Departments, branches and organizations closely coordinate with the Party cell to regularly organize activities and assign specific tasks to challenge and train the masses. Comrade Pham Thanh Hung - Head of the Party Building Committee of Dong Thai Commune shared: "The Commune Party Committee determined that developing party members must go hand in hand with improving the quality of grassroots party organizations, not chasing after quantity, especially paying attention to developing young party members to supplement the succession force".

According to comrade Pham Thanh Hung, many Party cells in Dong Thai commune flexibly link Party development work with political tasks and local socio-economic development. In coastal hamlets, Party cells mobilize union members and association members to participate in cooperative groups, aquaculture cooperatives, and mixed garden renovation models, thereby discovering leading and prestigious factors in the community to introduce and recruit. Party cells of schools and health stations pay attention to developing Party members from young teachers and doctors, who are both professionally qualified and enthusiastic in contributing to the cause of education and health care for the people.

Many Party cells in Dong Thai have boldly innovated their methods, considering young people as a "new source of energy" to arouse the pioneering spirit, linking Party development work with local movements. A typical example is the Phu Lam Hamlet Party Cell with 26 Party members, including 3 young Party members who are always energetic and enthusiastic. In 5 years, the Party Cell has developed 4 new Party members, achieving 200% of the assigned target.

Secretary of Phu Lam Hamlet Party Cell Huynh Ha Luy said: “The Party Cell focuses on training from the grassroots level, assigning experienced Party members to mentor outstanding Youth Union members. In activities, we create conditions for young Party members to boldly speak up and contribute ideas. Many practical initiatives are included in resolutions related to life such as mobilizing people to build green hedges, plant flowers along the roads, maintain environmental hygiene, and contribute to building new rural areas.”

After graduating from college, in 2022, Mr. Huynh Bao Anh (24 years old) returned to his hometown, participated in local work as a branch secretary and quickly affirmed his ability, and was admitted to the Party. "Thanks to the Party branch's favorable conditions, through the process of training and mentoring, I have increasingly matured in my work. Joining the Party is the motivation for me to continue to strive, together with union members and young people, to contribute to building my homeland to become more and more innovative and civilized," Mr. Bao Anh shared.

Thanks to the synchronous and effective methods, over the past 5 years, Dong Thai commune has admitted 163 new party members, exceeding the resolution target; in which the young party members have promoted their role, contributing to consolidating a clean and strong grassroots party organization. Linking the development of party members with improving the quality of party cell activities has helped the commune Party Committee gradually "strengthen the organization and strengthen the grassroots", serving the people better and better.
