Tri Ton commune eradicates cockfighting den for money

On August 5, during the peak of the campaign to crack down on crime and ensure security and order, at 11 a.m., Tri Ton Commune Police successfully destroyed a cockfighting den that involved gambling on money on an empty lot in To Thuy Hamlet.

The subjects were arrested.

At the time of the inspection, the police force discovered many subjects gathering to gamble on cockfighting. When they discovered the police force, the subjects ran away. The police force promptly controlled and arrested 6 subjects including Huynh Duc Giang (born in 1993, residing in Chau Doc ward); Nguyen Van Sy (born in 1970) and Nguyen Van Nhi (born in 1993, both residing in Co To commune); Le Van Nghia (born in 2002, residing in Vinh An commune); Nguyen Van Cong (born in 1988, residing in Tri Ton commune); Nguyen Van Chan (born in 1974, residing in Nui Cam commune).

At the scene, the police seized two fighting cocks, two pairs of spurs, five mobile phones and nine motorbikes. In addition, upon checking the suspects, the police seized more than VND600,000 in cash.

Tri Ton Commune Police are continuing to investigate and handle the case.
