An Don Industrial Park with a total area of ​​50 hectares is an industrial park located right in the center of Son Tra district on Ngo Quyen street. This is also the first industrial park in Da Nang city. The project was established in 1992, when the population in this area was still very sparse and the infrastructure was not much developed. Inside An Don Industrial Park are long rows of casuarina trees creating a fresh landscape.

According to the security guards and elderly workers working at An Don Industrial Park, the rows of casuarina trees were planted and cared for in the early years when the Industrial Park began to take shape. Over time, the rows of casuarina trees have become ancient trees and have become a highlight of the landscape inside the Industrial Park.

The rows of casuarina trees, running straight along the roads inside An Don Industrial Park, create a poetic scene, making many people who come here for the first time surprised and impressed.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung (59 years old), who has been a security guard at the Industrial Park for more than 20 years, said: The rows of casuarina trees are protected and cared for. During the wedding season, many couples come here to take pictures because the scene is romantic like in the movies.

For nearly 30 years, the casuarina trees inside An Don Industrial Park have become ancient trees, their trunks roughened over time.

For many generations of workers who have worked for many years at An Don Industrial Park, the rows of casuarina trees are associated with many memories of the days when Da Nang was newly divided.

Son Tra District has great potential for tourism development and high population density, so the Da Nang government is considering relocating factories out of An Don Industrial Park. According to the Da Nang City planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, An Don Industrial Park will be converted into An Don Financial Quarter, forming a modern urban area, becoming a new economic center... Currently, the People's Committee of Da Nang City is assigning competent authorities to review and propose issues related to land law of enterprises in this Industrial Park.

Through many storms and rains, the casuarina trees and rows still stand firm and proud. Experts recommend planting casuarina trees in coastal areas such as Da Nang. The rows of casuarinas not only regulate the air, protect from wind and rain, but also create a typical coastal landscape.

The leader of the Management Board of the High-Tech Park and Industrial Parks of Da Nang said that, along with calculating the relocation of factories in the industrial park, it will propose to retain rows of ancient trees to preserve green space, creating a long-term landscape for the urban area in the future.
