Construction of resettlement area to serve high-speed railway project

On the morning of August 19, in Binh Kien ward, the Provincial People's Committee held a groundbreaking ceremony for the resettlement area project serving the high-speed railway project on the North-South axis through Dak Lak province. Attending were Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dao My; leaders of departments, branches and localities and a large number of people.

The North-South High-Speed ​​Railway Project is an important national project, with a total length of about 1,541km, passing through 20 provinces and cities. This modern railway is designed with a speed of 350km/h, advanced technology, and is of key importance in inter-regional connectivity, promoting socio -economic development, and meeting national defense and security requirements.

Delegates attended the groundbreaking ceremony of the Resettlement Area project serving the high-speed railway project on the North-South axis, section passing through Binh Kien ward.

In Dak Lak province, the route is about 96km long, passing through 12 communes and wards with the starting point in Xuan Loc commune, the ending point in Hoa Xuan commune (arranging 1 station in Phu Yen ward, 1 maintenance station in Xuan Tho commune and 1 maintenance station combined with the station in Phu Yen ward). The total land demand of the project is about 807.5 hectares, the number of households affected by site clearance (GPMB) is about 4,143 households; the need for resettlement area serving GPMB is about 86 hectares and 3 reburial areas is about 4.2 hectares.

The North-South high-speed railway project, about 8.1km through Binh Kien ward, has 55 affected plots of land (4.2ha). Up to now, Binh Kien ward has approved the compensation plan for 35/55 plots (3ha). The remaining area is expected to complete the compensation plan in August 2025. The resettlement area project serving the high-speed railway project through Binh Kien ward is invested by the Tuy Hoa Area Construction Investment Project Management Board, implemented with the dual goal of resettling about 50 households affected by the project and about 70 households affected by the environment of the landfill and Tho Vuc cemetery; total investment of more than 52 billion VND.

Today's groundbreaking ceremony is not only the beginning of a resettlement infrastructure project, but also a symbol of the belief, aspiration and consensus of the Party Committee, government and people of Dak Lak province in contributing to bringing the High-speed Railway project, the project of the century, to the finish line on schedule. This is also a practical action to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, contributing to further embellishing the nation's glorious revolutionary tradition, affirming the aspiration for development, integration and prosperity.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dao My requested relevant departments, branches and localities to study and implement the contents according to the direction of the Central agencies and the preparation work for project implementation under the authority of the Provincial People's Committee. For the work of site clearance and resettlement, it is not only a political responsibility but also a commitment to ensure the legitimate rights of the people, thereby creating social consensus, contributing to promoting the progress of project construction. Therefore, departments, branches and localities continue to review affected cases, complete site clearance dossiers, promptly hand over the site to investors and construction units; complete infrastructure of resettlement areas, arrange resettlement fairly, transparently and promptly; strengthen mass mobilization and communication work, create consensus, stabilize people's lives...
