This morning, May 8, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha chaired an online meeting with sectors and localities to implement the Prime Minister's Directive on developing a decree regulating compensation, support, and resettlement when the State reclaims land and a decree regulating land prices.

The Land Law (amended) was passed by the 15th National Assembly , at the 5th extraordinary session on January 18, 2024 (Land Law No. 31/2024/QH15), including a number of contents on "Compensation, support, and resettlement when the State recovers land".
On March 5, 2024, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 222/QD-TTg promulgating the Plan for implementing the 2024 Land Law, assigning the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to preside over the development of a decree regulating compensation, support, and resettlement when the State recovers land and a decree regulating land prices to provide detailed guidance on the implementation of a number of articles of the law.
The draft decree regulating compensation, support, and resettlement when the State reclaims land includes 3 chapters and 36 articles, detailing a number of articles and clauses of the Land Law on compensation, support, and resettlement when the State reclaims land for national defense and security purposes, and socio-economic development for national and public interests.
Compensation, support and resettlement when implementing investment projects to renovate and rebuild apartment buildings according to the provisions of the law on housing.
Decree on land prices details and guides the implementation of the 2024 Land Law on land valuation methods; construction, adjustment, amendment and supplementation of land price lists; specific land valuation and conditions for practicing land valuation consultancy.
Participating in the conference, delegates focused on discussing issues related to compensation, support, resettlement plans, resettlement arrangements for people who voluntarily donate land use rights to the State to implement traffic, irrigation, and technical infrastructure projects; subjects receiving support for stabilizing their lives, vocational training and job search...
Discuss the cost of ensuring compensation, support and resettlement; how to calculate investors' profits when applying the surplus method; choosing an organization to conduct land valuation; land valuation method for transitional cases; procedures and contents of building land price lists...
Speaking at the conference, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha affirmed the importance of developing a decree regulating compensation, support, and resettlement when the State reclaims land and a decree regulating land prices.
At the same time, we acknowledge and appreciate the discussion and comments of representatives of ministries, branches, units, localities, and experts on the basic content of the draft decrees, ensuring the conformity, synchronization, and unity between land law and other relevant legal provisions, ensuring the inheritance, stability, and development of the land law system, and amending and supplementing provisions that are not suitable to reality.
When approved and promulgated, these decrees replace Decree No. 47/2014/ND-CP regulating compensation, support, and resettlement when the State recovers land and Decree No. 06/2020/ND-CP amending and supplementing Article 17 of Decree No. 47/2014/ND-CP regulating compensation, support, and resettlement when the State recovers land.
