Car brake failure before accident?

(NLDO) - The passenger bus crash at Bao Loc pass has so far confirmed 1 dead and 3 seriously injured.

On the evening of March 30, Lam Dong province authorities continued to rescue the passenger bus 50H-32365 that fell into the Bao Loc pass ravine on the same afternoon.

Up to now, this vehicle has not been brought back to the road but the deceased victim and 3 injured people have been taken to the hospital.

Information at the scene, the accident caused Ms. NTNT (26 years old, living in Dong Xoai City, Binh Phuoc Province) to die; 3 people were injured: HV and NY had broken arms, and Mr. NHT (24 years old, living in Dong Xoai City) had a back injury.

Initial information, at about 5:30 p.m. the same day, driver Nguyen Van Lan (44 years old, residing in Dong Xoai City) drove a passenger bus carrying 36 people from Da Lat to Ho Chi Minh City. When arriving at the above area, this vehicle collided with the rear of a truck with license plate 60H-153.46 driven by driver Nguyen Trung Hieu (48 years old, residing in Duc Trong District, Lam Dong) in the same direction ahead.

After the collision, the passenger bus veered off the left side of the road and fell into a ravine at Bao Loc Pass, about 20 meters deep, causing dozens of passengers in the bus to scream and call for help. The accident killed Ms. T. and injured three others.

The initial cause was determined to be that the bus driver lost control of his speed, and before colliding with the truck, the bus lost its brakes. Immediately after the accident, rescue forces and local authorities quickly arrived to rescue and investigate the cause of the incident.

Authorities are trying to pull the overturned passenger bus onto the road.
