What channel and time?

Closing the qualifying rounds (competing from November 4 to 7), the Seoul Billiards World Cup 2024 entered the most exciting round gathering 32 players. Four Vietnamese players participated in this round: Tran Quyet Chien, Bao Phuong Vinh, Nguyen Hoan Tat and Dao Van Ly.

Tran Quyet Chien is in Group B with Roland Forthomme (Belgium) and two players from the host country, South Korea, Seo Chang-hoon and Jeong Ye-sung. Quyet Chien will play his opening match at the 2024 Seoul Billiards World Cup against Roland Forthomme at 8:00 a.m. today (November 8, Vietnam time). Depending on the results, Vietnam's number 1 player will continue to play at 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. the same day.

Dao Van Ly fell into the toughest group compared to the remaining players of Vietnam, when he had to face veteran players such as Eddy Merckx (Belgium), Torbjorn Blomdahl (Sweden) and Lee Beom-yeol (Korea) in group E. Van Ly entered the field at 10:00 , meeting Eddy Merckx.

Nguyen Hoan Tat is in Group F with Martin Horn (Germany), Marco Zanetti (Italy) and Peter Ceulemans (Belgium). Hoan Tat will face Marco Zanetti at 10:00 .

Round of 32 matches of the Seoul 2024 Billiards World Cup

Bao Phuong Vinh is in Group H with Sameh Sidhom (Egypt), Kang Ja-in (South Korea) and Jeong Sung-il (South Korea). Phuong Vinh will face Sameh Sidhom at 10:00 .

Dao Van Ly, Nguyen Hoan Tat and Bao Phuong Vinh will continue to compete in two time slots: 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. the same day.

Bao Phuong Vinh also played from round 32.

In the round of 32, the players are divided into 8 groups (4 players each), playing a round robin to calculate points and rank (with a draw). The top two players in each group will advance to the round of 16 (knockout). Tran Quyet Chien and Bao Phuong Vinh are the two names that are given special permission to compete from the round of 32, while Hoan Tat and Van Ly won tickets thanks to passing the qualifying round.
