On October 31, Thanh Khe District Police ( Da Nang City) coordinated with the Thanh Khe District Council for the Destruction of Administrative Violations to destroy nearly 1,400 moon cakes of unknown origin.
This is the evidence discovered and temporarily seized by the Economic - Environmental Police Team of Thanh Khe District Police when inspecting a business establishment in Group 15 (An Khe Ward, Thanh Khe District) on September 20 ( Thanh Nien reported).
Nearly 1,400 moon cakes were destroyed at Khanh Son landfill.
Previously, through an administrative inspection of the moon cake production facility owned by DTH (25 years old, residing in Group 15, An Khe Ward), the Economic - Environmental Police Team discovered 1,373 moon cakes of various types without printed labels, ingredients, place of production... according to regulations.
Through investigation, DTH admitted that all the moon cakes were purchased from Hanoi at the price of 40,000 VND/box/4 pieces. DTH then ordered a transport unit to transport the goods to Da Nang City for wholesale to the distributors; these distributors would print, label and retail during the Mid-Autumn Festival.
Meanwhile, DTH could not present legal documents proving the origin, source, and food safety certification of these products; and could not present a business registration certificate as required by law.
Thanh Khe District Police determined that these goods did not meet the conditions for circulation on the market. Regarding the violation related to the business of DTH's mooncake batch, Thanh Khe District Police proposed that Thanh Khe District People's Committee issue an administrative penalty decision.
