Administrative penalty for teacher who broke into house and assaulted female colleague in Dak Nong

On June 2, the People's Committee of Dak Glong district ( Dak Nong province) has just reported on the incident in which a parent broke into the house to beat a teacher because her child had average conduct.

Specifically, at around 6:20 p.m. on May 25, 2023, Ms. Vu Thi Kim Q., a teacher at Le Duan High School (Quang Son Commune, Dak G'long District), was at her own home when Mr. Le Mau Duyen, a teacher at Hoang Van Thu Middle School (parent of LMQ, a 12B1 student at Le Duan High School) came to talk about her son being classified as Average in conduct for the 2022-2023 school year. Before coming to Ms. Q.'s house, Mr. Duyen had drunk alcohol and beer.

Mr. Duyen said that the main reason was because Ms. Q. made his son ineligible to enroll in the Police and Military schools when he was only ranked as having average conduct. While talking about this, Mr. Duyen got angry, cursed and used his left hand to slap Ms. Q. in the face, causing Ms. Q.'s upper and lower lips to be bruised and bleeding.

According to the report of Dak Glong District People's Committee, after receiving the above information, the Commune Police intervened and took statements from the relevant parties and witnesses of the incident. Examining the traces on Ms. Q's body, it showed that the consequences caused by Mr. Duyen were not serious enough to warrant criminal prosecution. The Commune Police transferred the file to request Dak Glong District Police to issue a decision to administratively fine Mr. Duyen 6.5 million VND.

After the police's punishment, the People's Committee of Dak Glong district is continuing to direct units to review related individuals for handling according to regulations.
