Strange emails appear, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics warns to avoid "falling into traps"

(Dan Tri) - Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics (UEH) has just issued a warning about a new sophisticated form of fraud targeting its students.

Fraudsters have created spoofed emails asking users to authenticate their accounts.

The email content has the title: “Ueh.edu.vn authentication notification!!!”.

The fake information reads: “Your ueh.edu.vn account has been restricted due to an authentication error due to our recent migration to our recent upgrade and for security update purposes. Please complete the authentication process to regain full access to your account.”

The official fanpage of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City confirmed that this is a scam email, falsifying information. The school recommends that if students receive an email with the above format, report it as “spam” so that the filter can be updated.

“This is a phishing email, impersonating the school website to get login information. The school will block this and similar content,” the notice said.
