Yen Mo awarded 3-star OCOP product certificates to the subjects

On August 24, Yen Mo District People's Committee held a conference to evaluate the results of the One Commune One Product (OCOP) Program implementation in the district in 2023; deploy directions and tasks for 2024 and award district-level OCOP product certificates in 2023 to the subjects.

Implementing the One Commune One Product Program for the period 2021-2025, the District People's Committee has directed agencies, units, and People's Committees of communes and towns to organize propaganda on guiding documents on the OCOP program, diversifying propaganda forms so that people can see the benefits, economic values, and humanistic values when implementing the OCOP Program.

In 2023, the district has 6 products participating in the evaluation and classification of OCOP products. On July 13, 2023, the Council for Evaluation and Classification of Products of the One Commune One Product Program of the district organized a conference to evaluate and classify OCOP products. As a result, there were 5 products including: Van Tra Gotu Kola Powder (Van Tra Agricultural Cooperative, Yen Thang Commune); Huan Hoa Bird's Nest (Huan Hoa Bird's Nest Production Cooperative, Yen Nhan Commune); Phuong Ben Egg Roll (Nguyen Thi Ben Business Household, Yen Tu Commune); Van Quyen Melon (Van Quyen Safe Agricultural Products Cooperative, Yen Phong Commune); Quang Vinh Melon (Tong Viet Vinh Business Household, Mai Son Commune) were recognized as 3-star OCOP products at the district level and Bo Bat ceramic products - Worshiping Set (Bo Bat Ceramic Conservation and Development Company Limited, Yen Thanh Commune) have the potential to achieve 4-star OCOP products at the provincial level.

In terms of direction, the 2024 task focuses on promoting the dissemination of the OCOP Program to people and registered entities. Upgrading, standardizing and recognizing 5-6 more products with 3-star ratings at the district level and 4-star ratings at the provincial level; supporting star rating upgrades for recognized products from 2022-2023; reviewing, evaluating and reclassifying star-rated products according to regulations. Supporting the construction of a point of display and sale of OCOP products in the district. Organizing for entities with OCOP products to participate in trade promotion activities inside and outside the province.

At the conference, Yen Mo district leaders awarded district-level OCOP product certificates in 2023 to 5 entities and rewarded 4 collectives and 2 individuals with achievements in participating in the One Commune One Product Program.
