18 years participating in the program "Supporting exam season"

- In the middle of the hot noon or on rainy days, the image of the green volunteer shirts "Supporting the exam season" has become familiar every high school graduation exam season. When mentioning volunteers, we cannot help but mention comrade Khuat Tran Trung, Secretary of the Youth Union of Son Duong town, who has participated in the "Supporting the exam season" program for 18 consecutive years.

Since high school and then university, Trung has actively participated in activities and youth movements. Especially during each exam season when 12th grade students enter the important exam - High School Graduation Exam, Trung volunteers to join the shock team to support "Exam Season Support" with many meaningful activities such as: Free motorbike taxi service, providing free drinking water, mobilizing resources to support free lunch... to motivate candidates to take the High School Graduation Exam.

Later, when he returned to work as Secretary of the Son Duong town Youth Union, Trung, together with the Youth Union organization, gathered union members and young people in the area to implement many meaningful programs and activities such as: implementing volunteer movements to help the poor, joining hands to build new rural areas, eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses, green Sundays to clean up the environment, "supporting the exam season"...

Trung said: “18 years of participating in the exam support campaign has left me with many emotions and memorable memories. Each exam season brings new friends, new volunteers and new experiences for the next exam support campaigns. I still remember clearly the images of grandfathers, grandmothers, fathers and mothers picking up and dropping off candidates to the exam. Many candidates are in dire need of help. The images of the free buses of the volunteer team picking up and dropping off candidates, the free meals sent by the provincial Buddhist Sangha and the contributions of the Tuyen Quang provincial youth union to the candidates warmed the hearts of the candidates during the exam days.”

Comrade Khuat Tran Trung, Secretary of the Youth Union of Son Duong town, along with union members and young people, prepared lunch for candidates taking the graduation exam at the Son Duong High School exam site in 2025.

Once, at the Son Duong High School exam site, a candidate broke his leg before the exam day. Trung and his fellow volunteers did not hesitate to pick up and carry the candidate to the exam site and up to the exam room to help the candidate continue to write his dream.

For Trung, the 18 exams he has participated in the program “Supporting the exam season” have been 18 beautiful and meaningful summers of his youth. In the future, in the context of the administrative unit reorganization, he will move to a new position, but with the responsibility of youth and the enthusiasm Trung shares, he will continue to participate in the program “Supporting the exam season” for the 19th time and in the following years.

With many efforts in working and developing the youth movement, Trung has been recognized and rewarded by many levels and sectors. Comrade Hoang Minh Quang, Deputy Secretary of the Son Duong District Youth Union, said: “Comrade Khuat Tran Trung is a very enthusiastic and passionate youth union leader. He and the town's youth union have organized many meaningful activities and programs for the community and for today's young generation. Recently, Comrade Trung was honored to be one of two young party members of Son Duong district to be recognized by the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee as an outstanding young party member studying and following Uncle Ho.”
