Mr. Le Ngoc Chap, Chairman of the Company's Trade Union, said: With more than 400 workers regularly working in a difficult environment, propaganda activities to raise awareness and prevent risks are of interest to the enterprise. Every year, the trade union proactively advises the Board of Directors to organize dialogues and answer questions about policies on occupational safety and hygiene; organize competitions to learn about the law, competitions on occupational safety initiatives, etc.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Minh, Deputy General Director of the Company said: As a unit specializing in processing car seat covers for export, workers are exposed to many polluting factors such as: Dust, waste, noise..., high risk of occupational diseases. To protect the health of workers, the Company uses a modern system to strictly measure indicators affecting the environment; from there, build a technology investment roadmap to reduce those indicators to the allowable level. Continuously improve, gradually replace old machinery and technology with new technology, modern equipment in heavy and toxic stages, helping to increase labor productivity, reduce the risk of occupational diseases in workers.
Building a safe working environment
The province currently has more than 25,000 operating enterprises, creating jobs for about 780,000 workers. Of which, the province's industrial parks have nearly 1,800 production and business enterprises, creating jobs for more than 550,000 people. Many workers are working in environments with high risk of accidents such as construction, mineral exploitation, mechanics, gasoline, etc. In order to minimize occupational accidents and occupational diseases, improve the working environment in enterprises, during the annual Action Month on Occupational Safety and Hygiene, the Department of Home Affairs has proactively coordinated with related sectors and localities to promote visual propaganda; organize occupational safety and hygiene training courses. At the same time, strengthen inter-sectoral inspection and supervision, promptly detect and handle violations.

According to the Department of Home Affairs, since the beginning of the year, the Department's interdisciplinary inspection team has inspected the compliance with legal regulations on labor safety and hygiene at 7 enterprises. As a result, administrative violation records have been drawn up and transferred to competent authorities for consideration and decision on handling according to the law against 4 violating enterprises.
