Live show The Wall Unplugged - The May Rain will take place on the evening of October 27 at Hoan Kiem Theater.

There's actually a reason why The Wall is holding its first live show at a theater.

At the press conference to inform about the live show on the morning of August 20, guitarist Tran Tuan Hung - current leader of the band Buc Tuong - told Tuoi Tre Online that the band had performed in many theaters, but this was the first time they had a solo live show.

The band had not thought about this before because the nature of The Wall's music required open space for thousands and tens of thousands of people.

The Wall once wanted to hold an outdoor live show in 2024, but it was difficult to do so due to economic difficulties.

The band decided to change direction, collaborating with musician Thanh Phuong to organize an unplugged music night at Ho Guom Theater.

Although this was not the original plan, it was also an opportunity to realize the long-standing dream of The Wall.

"This will be a live show for all ages, it will be comfortable, emotional and interesting," artist Tran Tuan Hung promised.

The Wall won't be "so notorious" this time.

Regarding the music night, Tuan Hung said that Buc Tuong will tell the story of its wonderful 29-year journey with acoustic music through 29 familiar and most loved songs of Buc Tuong.

Choosing the song "May Rain" as the theme for the live show, Tuan Hung said the musical nature of this song is typical of the music genre that Buc Tuong will perform in the concert.

In addition, this is also the only joint composition of Tran Tuan Hung and Tran Lap, and is also the song most loved and most sung by fans of Buc Tuong.

Musician Tran Thanh Phuong - the program's music director, revealed that this live show is for the band to tell stories like real men, not the "very notorious" way of telling stories like they did when they were young.

Director Pham Hoang Nam said the stage will be minimalist, without LED screens or complicated visuals, only sound, light and some effects to bring fans and the band closer together.

Live show Buc Tuong Unplugged - May Rain, in addition to the band Buc Tuong including guitarist Tran Tuan Hung, guitarist Vu Van Ha, bassist Tang Xuan Kien, drummer Pham Trung Hieu, also has guest singers: Pham Anh Khoa, Duong Tran Nghia, Nguyen Viet Lam, Nguyen Nhat Minh, Vu Thanh Van.

These are the singers who have collaborated with Buc Tuong in the past, in which Vu Thanh Van is a female singer.

Regarding the ticket price of the live show Buc Tuong Unplugged - May Rain, the organizers have not yet finalized it, but the price will not be as "soft" as the band's previous live shows.
