BAC NINH - The two-level local government officially came into operation on July 1. Accordingly, the Social Policy Bank system was merged. Currently, the Bac Ninh Provincial Social Policy Bank Branch has 18 transaction office units and 5,116 savings and loan groups operating effectively.

After the merger, the Bac Ninh Provincial Social Policy Bank Branch urgently deployed transaction activities at commune transaction points to ensure stable, smooth and effective policy credit activities, meeting the needs of poor households and other policy beneficiaries in the area.

The Transaction Office of the Luong Tai Social Policy Bank is in charge of transactions in 4 communes: Luong Tai, Lam Thao, Trung Chinh, Trung Kenh. Present at the transaction point of Trung Kenh commune (the old transaction point of An Thinh commune) at exactly 8:00 a.m. on July 6, the first transaction day after the administrative unit merger, the atmosphere was bustling. Thanks to careful preparation and smooth coordination, activities such as disbursement, debt collection, interest collection, receiving savings deposits from group members and people... were all carried out safely, quickly and effectively, bringing satisfaction to customers.

Mr. Dang Van Trong, Director of the Transaction Office, said: “After the administrative unit arrangement, the unit continues to maintain 12 transaction points in the communes: Luong Tai, Lam Thao, Trung Chinh, Trung Kenh as before; keeping the fixed monthly transaction schedule. Thanks to that, people do not have to travel far, their habits are not disrupted, ensuring that loan disbursement and debt collection activities take place normally. The unit is supported by the local government in terms of facilities, work space arrangement and police officers are assigned to the transaction points to ensure absolute safety for people and property throughout the transaction session.”

On the first day of trading in Trung Kenh commune, the Department lent more than 1 billion VND in social policy credit capital, mainly for clean water and environmental sanitation programs, job creation, and near-poor households. Currently, in 4 communes managed by the Luong Tai Social Policy Bank Transaction Department, there is a total outstanding loan balance of more than 615.92 billion VND, with no overdue debt.

At the Thuan Thanh Social Policy Bank Transaction Office, Mr. Pham Van Duong, Director, said: To ensure the rights and convenience of the people, the unit continues to maintain 18/18 transaction points in the communes as before; maintain more than 200 savings and loan groups. The address information of the people is automatically updated by the bank according to the new commune and ward areas, the people do not need to re-declare or perform any additional procedures.

Bac Ninh province currently has 99 commune-level administrative units, including 66 communes and 33 wards. The provincial branch of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies continues to maintain 18 transaction offices and 5,116 savings and loans that are operating effectively.

Immediately after being assigned the plan, the Branch promptly advised the Board of Directors of the Provincial Social Policy Bank to allocate specific targets to each locality, and at the same time closely directed the work of reviewing the subjects, ensuring disbursement to the right beneficiaries, at the right time, contributing to improving the efficiency of using policy credit capital in the area. The credit growth plan for 2025 is prioritized to focus on key programs, including: Lending to poor households, near-poor households, and newly escaped poverty households; lending to production and business households in difficult areas; lending to students in difficult circumstances and lending to social housing programs.

After the administrative unit merger, policy credit activities continue to receive attention, direction and facilitation from Party committees, authorities at all levels, the Central Bank for Social Policies and the Board of Directors of the Provincial Bank for Social Policies. Along with that, with the foundation and tradition of the industry, the solidarity and consensus of the collective, the Branch is determined to excellently complete the political tasks in 2025, contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of the province in the new period.
