Many people are spreading the information that a famous hair salon chain called "1900 Hair Salon" has called on many people to donate hair to cancer patients, but is that true?

Today, June 13, Bac Ninh General Hospital has just released a report regarding the incident.

The hospital said it has coordinated with the "Bright Tomorrow Fund" to organize the "Hair for Cancer Patients" program on June 11.

The number of hair donated is 50 sets (wigs made from real hair), based on the direct registration information of cancer patients at the Oncology Center. The "Bright Tomorrow" Fund does not limit the number of hair sets donated to cancer patients.

In parallel, the program also received 703 sets of hair from volunteers who came to donate. These sets of hair are currently being managed by the Social Work Department, awaiting handover to the "Bright Tomorrow" Fund.

The program also received the support and cooperation of many philanthropists inside and outside the province.

Of these, 16 hair salons in Bac Ninh have sent staff to cut hair for hair-donating volunteers at the hospital and also provided free hair-styling services for hair-donating volunteers at the salon.

"The program is a meaningful social activity that inspires cancer patients to have a more positive spirit in life, contributing to spreading the spirit of love, sharing, and a healthy lifestyle to the community," said the report signed by Mr. Nguyen Van Duong - Deputy General Director of Bac Ninh Provincial General Hospital.

According to the research, on the stage backdrop of the above program, Bac Ninh General Hospital and "Bright Tomorrow" Fund are the organizing units. 1900 Hair Salon System and another enterprise play the role of accompanying units.

In response to rumors of selling donor hair, many posts on the official Facebook page of the 1900 Hair Salon chain have received thousands of angry reactions.

By this afternoon, after the hospital spoke up, the salon chain briefly shared on social media: "With passion and love from everyone, we will always strive to spread positive things to society. Thank you very much for your love and giving. Thank you."

1900 Hair Salon has 6 branches (5 in Hanoi and 1 in Ho Chi Minh City).

Besides the beautiful hairstyles, this chain is famous for the videos and pictures shared on social media, about the journey of receiving hair from many people (including customers), then giving it back to cancer patients, especially women and girls.
