Friendship Hospital operates on-demand clinic and vaccination

On June 26, Friendship Hospital held the opening ceremony of the On-demand Medical Clinic and Vaccination Room.

Dr. Nguyen The Anh - Director of Friendship Hospital emphasized that the event marked an important milestone in the strategy of improving the quality of medical examination and treatment and meeting the increasingly high and diverse needs of the people.

The on-demand clinic was deployed as a result of careful preparation and systematic investment in infrastructure, equipment and human resources. This is a model that integrates a variety of high-quality medical examination and treatment services, including specialized examinations with a team of leading experts in cardiovascular, oncology, endocrinology, and digestion with modern equipment such as: CT 256 system, MRI 3.0... At the same time, the Hospital built a high-standard vaccination unit that can provide vaccines that require deep-freeze preservation standards and focus on health examination services.

Mr. Duong Huy Luong - Deputy Director of the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management ( Ministry of Health ) assessed that, with a specialized hospital serving mainly mid- and high-ranking officials of the Party and State, the leaders of Friendship Hospital not only focus on medical examination and treatment but also pay great attention to and invest in facilities and high-quality human resources to examine and treat patients on demand.

The Deputy Director of the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management analyzed that people's health care needs are increasingly high, and for hospitals, investment from the new budget can partly meet people's needs. When hospitals have more on-demand examination areas, it will increase the response to people's needs for medical examination and treatment; especially when there are still many services that are not covered by health insurance such as cancer screening, cardiovascular screening, etc.

Mr. Duong Huy Luong also particularly emphasized the importance of screening and early prevention of diseases, especially cardiovascular and cancer. Screening is very important because when patients are detected early, from a distance, the treatment will be much more effective, and the treatment cost will also be optimized. The on-demand clinic model is a model that will meet the needs of the majority of people, not only officials but also people in Hanoi and other provinces in the near future.

The on-demand clinic is expected to help reduce the workload for clinical departments, improve patient satisfaction, and create conditions for the Hospital to diversify its operating model and gradually become financially autonomous according to the policy of the Ministry of Health./.
