On September 12, Dong Nai General Hospital held a ceremony to announce the implementation of electronic medical records.

This is the third hospital in Dong Nai province to deploy electronic medical records, after Long Khanh Regional General Hospital and Thong Nhat General Hospital (Thanh Tam Hospital).
Speaking at the announcement ceremony, Dr. Ngo Duc Tuan, Director of Dong Nai General Hospital, said that to achieve today's results, the hospital team spent 2 years developing the project and making efforts to implement it.
Specifically, establish a Digital Transformation Board, direct departments/offices to train and select personnel with knowledge and skills in information technology to establish a digital transformation team in each department/office; invest in infrastructure including 3 servers to serve the medical examination and treatment system.
From June to August 2025, the hospital will accelerate the completion by investing in upgrading 2 servers for electronic medical records; anti-virus system for servers, upgrading firewall system. And start deploying electronic medical records in key departments.
According to the Director of Dong Nai General Hospital, up to now, electronic medical records have been implemented in some internal and surgical departments. It is being gradually deployed to the remaining departments.
"Immediately after achieving the results of the Project, the hospital will continue to deploy it to 100% of departments and camps, adjusting and perfecting the software and system to create convenience and utility for medical staff to use and ensure legality, aiming to eliminate paper medical records, moving towards a smart, comprehensively developed Dong Nai General Hospital," said Dr. Tuan.
Dong Nai General Hospital has a history of 123 years of establishment and development, and is the largest hospital in Dong Nai province. The implementation of electronic medical records will replace traditional paper medical records, helping to minimize errors in the diagnosis and treatment process; simplify administrative procedures and help doctors and medical staff monitor and manage patients' health anytime, anywhere.
