A fisherman was exploiting seafood in the Truong Sa special zone waters when he unfortunately fell and suffered serious facial injuries, showing signs of quadriplegia, sensory disturbances and difficulty breathing. He was promptly admitted to Truong Sa Infirmary for treatment.

Information from the Navy on the morning of September 27 said that on the night of September 26, the Truong Sa Island Infirmary, under Brigade 146 (Navy Region 4), received and provided emergency treatment to patient Nguyen Trung T. (born in 1992, hometown Phu My Dong commune, Gia Lai province), a fisherman on fishing boat BD 92529 TS who was exploiting seafood in the Truong Sa special zone waters.

According to initial information, fisherman T. fell and hit his face on the hard floor of the ship and showed symptoms of quadriplegia, sensory disturbances, and difficulty breathing. The fisherman was taken to the Da Tay A Island Infirmary for first aid in a state of consciousness, able to communicate, with quadriplegia, and sensory disturbances throughout the body.

Through online consultation with Military Hospital 175 , doctors diagnosed: spinal injury, cervical spinal cord injury, transverse cervical spinal cord contusion, cervical spinal cord edema, hepatitis B, requiring active treatment to avoid serious complications.

Immediately afterwards, the fisherman was transferred to Truong Sa Island Infirmary for further treatment.
