Billiards: Tran Quyet Chien competes excitingly with Bao Phuong Vinh and Tran Thanh Luc

Tran Quyet Chien will have the opportunity to compete with Vietnam's top players such as Bao Phuong Vinh, Tran Thanh Luc, Nguyen Duc Anh Chien... at the 2025 Million Cup 3-cushion carom billiards tournament.

The 2025 Million Cup 3-cushion carom billiards tournament will take place from August 15 to 21 in Ho Chi Minh City, with the participation of the top 3-cushion carom players in Vietnam at the moment. The tournament includes qualifying rounds and official competition rounds. In particular, names such as Tran Quyet Chien, Tran Thanh Luc, Bao Phuong Vinh, Nguyen Duc Anh Chien... will compete from the official round.

From August 15 to 18, the tournament will take place in the qualifying round with hundreds of players competing. In the qualifying round, the players will compete in a knockout format, reaching 30 points and limited to 40 turns (2 time requests).

Tran Quyet Chien has the opportunity to compete with the top players in Vietnam.

Accordingly, 16 excellent players and 16 invited players will compete in the official round, from August 19 to 21. In the official round, 32 players are divided into 8 groups (4 players each), competing in a round-robin format to calculate points and rank. The top two players in each group will advance to the knockout round (16 players).

The round of 16 and quarter-final matches will be played to 40 points, with no parlay. Meanwhile, the semi-finals and finals will be played to 50 points, with no parlay.

Vietnam's top players currently playing in the World Carom Billiards Federation (UMB) tournament system such as Tran Quyet Chien, Tran Thanh Luc, Bao Phuong Vinh... are considered candidates for the championship. In addition, Nguyen Duc Anh Chien, representative of PBA (Korean Professional Billiards Association) and other talented players such as Nguyen Van Tai, Nguyen Chi Long... also promise to create surprises in this tournament.

Regarding the prizes, the champion will receive 100 million VND. The runner-up will receive 50 million VND, and the two third-place players will receive 20 million VND each. 5th-8th place will receive 2 million VND each, 9th-16th place will receive 1 million VND each. The winner of the "best game" and best series will receive 5 million VND each.
