Binh Duong holds open bidding to select investors for inter-regional expressway project

The Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway investment project through Binh Duong province will be widely bid domestically to select investors.

The People's Committee of Binh Duong province has just issued Decision No. 2115/QD-UBND on applying the form of investor selection for the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh Expressway Project through Binh Duong province under the public-private partnership (PPP) method.

According to the approved plan, Binh Duong will select the Project investor through domestic open bidding.

The Department of Planning and Investment, the Department of Transport and relevant agencies and units, and investors proposing the project shall implement the steps in accordance with the provisions of law.

According to information from the Department of Transport of Binh Duong province, through the survey results, there is currently 1 contractor interested in submitting documents, which is the Joint Venture of Becamex IDC Corporation - Becamex Binh Phuoc Technical Infrastructure Development Joint Stock Company - Deo Ca Group Joint Stock Company.

The Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh Expressway Project has a total length of more than 52 km, of which the section passing through Ho Chi Minh City is 1.65 km long, the section passing through Binh Duong is 45.7 km long and Binh Phuoc is 7 km long. The project is invested in the scale of an expressway, with a design speed of 100 km/h.

The section passing through Binh Duong province alone has a total investment of 17,408.39 billion VND. Currently, the locality is clearing the land and is expected to start construction on September 2 this year.

In addition to the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh Expressway Project, Binh Duong is also preparing to start construction of Ring Road 4 to connect with provinces in the Southeast region.

In the future, Binh Duong will connect with provinces in the Southeast region through Ring Roads 3 and 4 (HCMC) and the HCMC - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway.
