Also from early morning, fishermen of Ky Xuan fishing village began to dock.
Visitors take advantage of the best time of day to walk on the beach early, watch the sunrise and choose for themselves fresh seafood.
As soon as they reached the port, the fishermen quickly brought their spoils ashore after a night of hard fishing.
Baskets of live squid are sought after by traders right on the shore...
... or quickly brought by fishermen to restaurants for consumption.
Mr. Nguyen Van Ha (a fisherman in Nguyen Hue village) said: "In recent days, the weather has been favorable, so we fishermen have been going out to sea regularly. My boat specializes in squid fishing, and on average, we catch 1-2 kg each night. The squid is still alive, so traders buy it at a fairly high price of 400,000 - 500,000 VND/kg depending on the time. This trip, I caught 1.5 kg and sold it all as soon as I got ashore. It was a bit hard, but I was also excited because I had more income."
After a sleepless night, Mr. Nguyen Van Son (Nguyen Hue village) returned to the mainland with the joy of catching herring and silver carp. Mr. Son said: "This trip, after deducting expenses, I earned about 500,000 VND, this is the motivation for me to love the sea more every day."
The sun gradually rose higher, and boats slowly followed each other to shore.

The scene of buyers, sellers, and people sorting goods… takes place urgently in the hustle and bustle. To get the freshest and best quality seafood, traders and tourists have to wake up early in the morning and catch the first boats.
Currently, the whole Ky Xuan commune has over 600 households working in the sea with 160 boats in operation. The average income of each family working in the sea is from 6 to 15 million VND/month, depending on the time of year.
