Provincial Border Guards synchronously deploy all aspects of border work

On the morning of June 28, the Provincial Border Guard Command Party Committee held a conference to review border work in the first 6 months of the year and deploy directions and tasks for the last 6 months of 2024. Colonel Do Ngoc Vinh, Provincial Party Committee member and Commander of the Provincial Border Guard, chaired the conference.

Overview of the conference

In the first 6 months of 2024, the Provincial Border Guard Command has synchronously implemented border work measures; led, directed the study, dissemination, and strict implementation of directives, resolutions, and conclusions of the Central Committee, the Central Military Commission, and the Ministry of National Defense ; the Party Committee, the Border Guard Command; the Provincial Party Committee, and the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province on military, national defense, and border work. Effectively implemented the 2024 Projects and Plans in the border areas and sea areas. Regularly patrolled, controlled, and protected the border, border markers, and border works; fought against all types of crimes and against IUU fishing .

The unit has presided over the arrest and handling of 90 cases/98 subjects, confiscating 4,196.613 grams of heroin, 7,979.71 grams of Ketamine, 2,940.69 grams of crystal meth, 47,719 synthetic drug pills, 1 military gun, 100 bullets, 6 kg of explosives, 100 detonators and many other exhibits; mobilized people to hand over 121 homemade guns, 2 gun barrels, 1 kg of lead bullets.

In addition, the police coordinated to arrest and handle 6 cases/8 subjects, confiscating 8,727 synthetic drug pills. Proactively implemented PCTT-TKCN tasks in border areas and coastal areas.

Advise the Provincial People's Committee to well organize activities to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the People's Border Guard Day, the 65th anniversary of the Border Guard's tradition day and organize a preliminary review of 5 years of implementing " People's Border Guard Day " in the period of 2019-2024; well implement the program " Spring Border Guard, Warming the Hearts of the Villagers " and " People's Border Guard Festival ", thereby mobilizing all levels, sectors and forces to present to officers and people in the border area 4 warm houses, 03 great solidarity houses, more than 5,000 gifts, with a total value of about 5.5 billion VND.

Implement well Directive No. 01/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister on organizing the movement of the entire people to participate in protecting territorial sovereignty and national border security in the new situation. Promote the role of Border Guard officers participating in district and commune-level Party Committees, Party members participating in Party cell activities in villages and hamlets, and Party members in charge of households in border areas.

Coordinated the organization of training courses, fostering ethnic knowledge and ethnic languages ​​for 6 classes/490 students; opened 4 classes/148 students to eliminate and re-illiteracy. Actively participated in building movements and models to help people develop socio-economy in border areas.

Maintain and carry out well the activities of Border Defense and People's Diplomacy. Visit, wish Happy New Year, and give gifts to the border protection force of Hua Phan province (Laos) with a total gift value of about 242.5 million VND.

Well implemented the emulation and reward work and the emulation movement to win in 2024 and 2 peak emulation periods. In the first 6 months of the year, 75 collectives and 358 individuals were commended at all levels; the Provincial Border Guard received a bonus of 100 million VND from the Provincial People's Committee.

Colonel Do Ngoc Vinh, Commander, authorized by the Ministry of National Defense, awarded Certificates of Merit from the Minister of National Defense to three collectives with outstanding achievements from 2022 to 2023, contributing to the cause of building the Army, strengthening National Defense and protecting the Fatherland.

On this occasion, authorized by the Ministry of National Defense, Colonel Do Ngoc Vinh, Commander, awarded Certificates of Merit from the Minister of National Defense to 3 groups "For their outstanding achievements in work from 2022 to 2023, contributing to the cause of building the Army, strengthening National Defense and protecting the Fatherland"

Concluding the Conference, Colonel Do Ngoc Vinh, Provincial Party Committee member, Commander of the Provincial Border Guard, requested that in the last 6 months of 2024, Party committees and commanders of agencies and units continue to thoroughly grasp and seriously implement the Command of Combat Training of the Border Guard Commander, strictly maintain combat readiness regimes, work order, strictly comply with discipline and the law. Continue to effectively deploy projects, professional plans, and topics to ensure security and order in the area; effectively fight against all types of crimes as well as effectively implement good movements, models, and initiatives, especially the plan to implement the pilot model "Bright Border Area".
