On the afternoon of September 5, the Party Committee and Command of Ho Chi Minh City held a meeting to encourage and reward candidates admitted to military academies and schools in 2025.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Hieu - Deputy Chief of Staff of Ho Chi Minh City Command, in 2025, the organization and propaganda of career guidance in localities and schools in the city will be carried out in accordance with the correct procedures and on time.

From there, 12th grade students were provided with detailed information about military school admissions. Background checks and verifications were closely organized. A total of 1,137 candidates were eligible for admission, of which 156 were admitted.

In 2026, the units will continue to carry out propaganda work, advise the Party Committee to organize meetings, and add preliminary candidates to military schools and students. Speaking at the meeting, Colonel Nguyen Dinh Chuan - member of the Military Party Committee, Deputy Political Commissar of the Ho Chi Minh City Command - said that in the 80-year journey of building, fighting and growing, officers and soldiers of the Ho Chi Minh City Armed Forces have always been loyal to the Party and devoted to the people, creating a tradition of "infinite loyalty, steadfastness, solidarity, discipline, dynamism and creativity, determination to fight and win".

Colonel informed that the Party Committee and the Ho Chi Minh City Command have strictly implemented the directives and instructions on military recruitment work, closely coordinated with the city's departments, branches and sectors. The work of information and propaganda, military policies and military rear areas has been well implemented, with commendable results.

Colonel Nguyen Dinh Chuan said that the agencies and units of the Ho Chi Minh City Command actively coordinated with the locality to complete early admission procedures and organize to bring candidates to school according to the direction of the military region.
