The Ministry of Education and Training requested the Provincial People's Committee to direct appropriate financial support for educational institutions to organize review and training for students, contributing to improving the quality of education. Training, review and exam preparation are the responsibility of schools.

On February 11, the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) issued Official Dispatch No. 545/BGDĐT-GDTrH to the People's Committees (PCs) of provinces and centrally-run cities regarding strengthening direction for general education.

According to the Ministry of Education and Training, the 2024-2025 school year is the year the 2018 General Education Program is implemented in all levels of general education from grades 1 to 12. The Ministry has issued documents regulating and guiding the effective implementation of school governance, innovation in teaching methods, assessment, admission at the beginning of the school year, and high school graduation exams.

The Ministry of Education and Training requested the People's Committees of provinces and cities to direct the education sector to thoroughly grasp the general education institutions in the area to continue to synchronously implement solutions to deploy the 2018 General Education Program to ensure quality.

The setting of regular and periodic tests and assessments; the selection of students at the beginning of primary and secondary school levels and the entrance exam for grade 10 of high school are in accordance with the requirements of the 2018 General Education Program, without putting pressure on students to study extra.

At the same time, absolutely do not loosen the organization of review and training for students with unsatisfactory learning results; organize for final year students to strengthen review for entrance exams and graduation exams according to the school's education plan.

"The units need to identify this as the school's responsibility to help students meet the requirements for each subject of each grade according to the regulations of the 2018 General Education Program," the document stated.

According to the actual conditions of the locality, the Ministry of Education and Training proposed that the Provincial People's Committee direct appropriate financial support for educational institutions to organize review and training for students, contributing to improving the quality of education, especially for students who still have difficulties in studying, final year students, disadvantaged groups, students with difficult family circumstances, students from ethnic minority and mountainous areas, and areas with especially difficult socio-economic conditions.
