The unique large lakes located between the mountain ranges and plains in the seven-mountain land of An Giang not only help people store water for farming but also exploit tourism, many tourists love it.

On September 9, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Quoc - Deputy Director of the Department of Tourism of An Giang province - said that the seven mountains region of An Giang has many large lakes with unique beauty such as Ta Pa lake, Soai So lake, Soai Chek lake (in Tri Ton commune) and Thanh Long lake, Thuy Liem lake, Ta Lot lake, Nui Dai lake (in Nui Cam commune).

The locality has had a survey trip to these lakes to survey tourism and found that there is a lot of potential for tourism exploitation.

There are some famous lakes that many young tourists come to visit and take souvenir photos with family and friends.

"These large lakes have the potential to exploit tourism. We are proposing to the People's Committee of An Giang province to consider investing in additional transport infrastructure to connect and exploit tourism in the above lakes.

With convenient roads, the locality will call for investors to invest in creating destinations and suitable entertainment venues to serve tourists," said Mr. Quoc.

"The lakes in Nui Cam commune are very beautiful. With this lake, my fellow villagers and I have water to grow rice and vegetables during the dry season, when the heat lasts for a long time and there is a water shortage.

If these lakes are properly exploited for tourism, people will also benefit, have more income , and stabilize their family life," said Ms. Vo Thi Kim Hien, a resident of Nui Cam commune.
