Having worked for Texray (VN) Co., Ltd. for 7 years in Khanh Hau Ward, Tay Ninh Province, Ms. Le Ngoc Diem has held the position of Chairwoman of the Grassroots Trade Union for 6 years. She is always dedicated, close and devoted to the workers and laborers.

In recent times, Ms. Diem has worked with the Executive Board of the Trade Union to organize many practical and meaningful activities for employees and build a strong Trade Union. Ms. Diem shared: “To promote my role, I am close to, listen to and accompany employees. Whenever employees encounter difficulties in work or life, I am always ready to listen and find solutions to support. As the Chairwoman of the Trade Union, I identify myself as the “bridge” between employees and the company's Board of Directors; encourage Trade Union officers to maintain closeness with union members, regularly participate in training courses and improve skills to improve the effectiveness of Trade Union activities”.

Over the past 6 years, Ms. Diem and the Executive Board of the Trade Union have proposed and advised on many practical solutions such as increasing the meal portion, expanding the garage, organizing monthly employee birthday parties, adjusting salaries in a timely manner according to regulations, organizing sports and cultural activities, etc. The Trade Union also set up a suggestion box, creating conditions for employees to express their thoughts and wishes. All valid opinions are collected and reported to the Company's Board of Directors for timely resolution.

Not only taking care of working conditions, Ms. Diem also pays special attention to the spiritual life of employees. The Union organizes gift giving on holidays, New Year, International Women's Day, International Children's Day, Mid-Autumn Festival; visits union members who are sick, in difficulty, or happy;... "The joy of employees is the motivation for me to continue to be involved in union work" - Ms. Diem confided.

For Ms. Diem, the secret to building a strong grassroots trade union organization lies in the spirit of solidarity and responsibility of each member of the Executive Committee. She always encourages everyone to learn and improve their knowledge and skills; actively participate in movements launched by superiors; and maintain practical care activities that meet the needs of workers. The road ahead still has many challenges, but with her enthusiasm, dedication and affection for workers, Ms. Diem always strives to continue to be a solid "support" and accompany workers./.
