Canada issues final conclusions on anti-dumping investigation of steel wire from Vietnam

On the afternoon of September 13, according to information from the Department of Trade Remedies, Ministry of Industry and Trade , on September 5, 2024, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) issued the final conclusion on the investigation case of applying anti-dumping measures (CBPG) on steel wire products originating or exported from China, Egypt and Vietnam.

Accordingly, the dumping margin of enterprises is specifically determined as follows:

The Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) is currently determining the damage to the domestic manufacturing industry and is expected to issue a conclusion on October 4, 2024.

Previously, on March 8, 2024, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) initiated an investigation to apply anti-dumping measures on steel wire products originating or exported from China, Egypt and Vietnam.

On June 6, 2024, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) issued a preliminary conclusion on the investigation into the application of anti-dumping measures on steel wire products originating or exported from China, Egypt and Vietnam.

Accordingly, the temporary anti-dumping tax rate for Vietnamese enterprises is at the lowest level (from 6.1% to 38.9%) compared to Chinese enterprises (50.9% - 71.1%) and Egyptian enterprises (49.7% - 99.8%) being investigated by CBSA this time.
