TPO - Due to prolonged rain and floods and the restriction of traffic on Long Bien and Chuong Duong bridges, Vinh Tuy bridge (towards Long Bien) is seriously congested.

According to Tien Phong newspaper, from about 1:00 p.m. on September 11, at Vinh Tuy bridge area towards Long Bien, there was a long traffic jam, hundreds of vehicles had difficulty moving.

According to local residents, the traffic congestion on Vinh Tuy Bridge began on the afternoon of September 10, when Hanoi experienced heavy rain and the Red River rose.

As of 4pm on September 11, the traffic congestion on Vinh Tuy bridge has not improved. To cross the bridge from the inner city to Co Linh, many drivers have to travel for more than 2 hours.

"Usually, when it rains heavily, Vinh Tuy bridge is very smooth. Today, it may be due to the limited traffic on Chuong Duong bridge and flooding at Co Linh intersection, which is why there is such a traffic jam," said a vehicle owner.

The distance between each car is less than 30 cm.

The branch to Vinh Tuy bridge towards Long Bien - Dam Quang Trung street is also congested with traffic.

In the opposite direction, from Long Bien to Hanoi is clear, people move easily.
