The patient was a 31-year-old man with a history of premature birth and had to breathe oxygen through a cannula placed in his nose for a long time. Although the patient survived, the consequences were not small, when the loss of the nasal column caused his nose to become deformed.

Over time, this condition causes many difficulties for patients in daily life and activities.

The young man went to many places to get checked and seek treatment. The last time was a year ago, he had a nose job at a cosmetic clinic, but the condition did not improve.

After a detailed examination and evaluation, the treatment team performed surgery with the goal of reconstructing the nose column and correcting the nostrils, helping the patient's face become more balanced and harmonious.

After surgery, the shape of the guy's nose improved significantly compared to before, the nose column and nostrils were balanced, helping the patient feel much more confident.

“Initially, we planned to reshape the nose bridge and septum first, then perform another surgery to improve the aesthetic problem. However, when seeing the results, the patient said he was satisfied, so he decided not to perform surgery, only to return for a check-up as scheduled,” said Dr. Dong.

According to doctors, a small number of premature babies have many health and respiratory problems, requiring nasal intubation. Long-term rubbing of the breathing tube can lead to complications such as necrosis, loss of the nasal column and nasal septum, leading to deformation of this area.
