Compared to the previous month, 5 groups of goods and services increased in price and 5 groups decreased in price. Only the education group kept its price stable.
Of which, the price index of housing, electricity, water, fuel and construction materials group increased the highest with 0.58%, due to the increase of 1.2% in household electricity price and 4.48% in gas price. The culture, entertainment and tourism group decreased by 0.61%, mainly due to the decrease in cultural equipment such as television. The package tourism service group decreased by 5.17%, the food and catering service group decreased by 0.14%, mainly due to the decrease in food items.
Compared to December, this month's consumer price index increased as people started shopping for Tet.
