Hot weather from early morning April 28, foreign tourists in groups visit Linh Ung Pagoda

On the morning of April 28, visitors to the largest pagoda in Da Nang were quite sparse. Most of them were foreign tourists traveling in groups. It was rare to see some family tourists .

Linh Ung Son Tra Pagoda or Linh Ung Bai But Pagoda is located halfway up Son Tra Peninsula, Tho Quang Ward, about 12 km from the center of Da Nang City. Every year, on the occasion of April 30 and May 1, which is the hot summer season, this pagoda is packed with tourists. But this year, the gloomy scene surprised many people.

Mr. Nguyen Bao Ngoc - a motorbike parking attendant at Linh Ung Pagoda - said that every year Linh Ung Pagoda's parking lot has to add 2-3 more people to keep up with the workload, it's crowded from early morning to late afternoon, but now there are only a few rows of vehicles.

"In the 8 years I've worked as a parking attendant here, this is the first time I've seen such a small number of customers on April 30th.

"If you pay attention, the number of motorbike passengers is only a few people from neighboring provinces and Da Nang residents, not many motorbikes rented by tourists to visit Son Tra like on holidays every year," Mr. Ngoc said.

Mr. Ngoc said that maybe because the airfare to Da Nang during this holiday is too high, few tourists travel here. Partly because the weather in the Central region is predicted to be hot, tourists are reluctant to travel.
