The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has just awarded the right to host a group match at the 2025 Asian Women's Club Championship to Vietnam.
This means that Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club will have an additional advantage when playing at home.
With the achievement of reaching the semi-finals in the 2024/25 season, Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club was specially qualified to participate from the group stage with a high score on the AFC Women's Club rankings.
Coach Doan Thi Kim Chi shared: “In the continental tournament, Ho Chi Minh City Club continues to set the goal of passing the group stage. More importantly, participating in the Asian tournament helps players have the opportunity to compete internationally and receive more attention and investment. Training with foreign players also helps Vietnamese players to be more excited and make more efforts.”
With the achievement of reaching the quarterfinals of the 2024/25 Asian Women's Club Championship, Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club was specially qualified to participate from the group stage with a high score on the AFC Women's Club Rankings.
At the 2025/2026 Asian Women's Club Championship, 12 teams are divided into 3 groups, each group will compete at a centralized location in Vietnam (from November 13 to 19), Myanmar (November 9 to 15) and China (November 17 to 23).
After the group stage, 8 clubs including the 2 top teams in each group and the 2 best third-placed teams will advance.
