(NLDO) - The Customs Department held a conference to announce decisions on personnel work, including the decision to appoint 3 Deputy Directors.


This afternoon, March 7, the Customs Department ( Ministry of Finance ) held a conference to announce the decision regulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Customs Department and its internal organizations; and to announce the decisions on personnel work of the Customs Department.

Deputy Minister of Finance Nguyen Duc Chi presented the decision to appoint 3 Deputy Directors of the Customs Department.

At the conference, the Organizing Committee announced Decision No. 382/QD-BTC regulating the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Customs Department. Accordingly, from March 1, 2025, the Customs Department will be organized according to a 3-level model from central to local levels. Previously, the Ministry of Finance had issued a decision to appoint Mr. Nguyen Van Tho as Director of the Customs Department.

At today's conference, Decision No. 877/QD-BTC of the Minister of Finance was announced to appoint 3 Deputy Directors of the Customs Department, including: Mr. Luu Manh Tuong, Mr. Au Anh Tuan and Mr. Tran Duc Hung.

Announcing Decision No. 931/QD-BTC of the Minister of Finance appointing and transferring 12 officials to the positions of Head of Department and equivalent positions of the Customs Department.

Specifically, Ms. Pham Thi Thu Huong was appointed to the position of Chief of Office; Mr. Kim Long Bien was appointed to the position of Head of Legal Department; Mr. Le Xuan Hue was appointed to the position of Head of Inspection and Control Department; Mr. Tran Quang Trung was appointed to the position of Head of Organization and Personnel Department; Mr. Le Duc Thanh was appointed to the position of Head of Information Technology and Customs Statistics Department; Mr. Dao Duy Tam was appointed to the position of Head of Customs Management and Supervision Department; Mr. Nguyen Sy Hoang was appointed to the position of Head of Customs Tax Operations Department.

Mr. Quach Dang Hoa was appointed as Head of Risk Management Department; Mr. Trinh Van Nhuan was appointed as Head of Finance - Administration Department; Mr. Nguyen Nhat Kha was appointed as Head of Customs Inspection Sub-Department; Mr. Nguyen Hong Linh was appointed as Head of Post-clearance Inspection Sub-Department; Mr. Vu Quang Toan was appointed as Head of Anti-smuggling Investigation Sub-Department.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Minister of Finance Nguyen Duc Chi emphasized the restructuring of the General Department of Customs into the Customs Department to be more effective, efficient, and better perform the assigned functions, tasks, and powers.

The leaders of the Ministry of Finance highly appreciated the sense of responsibility of the customs sector, especially the pioneering comrades who retired and voluntarily sacrificed part of their benefits and gave up their positions in the process of streamlining and reorganizing the apparatus, contributing to the results of the apparatus streamlining revolution.

Mr. Luu Manh Tuong, Deputy Director of the Customs Department, said that with the new organizational model, the customs sector identified this as an opportunity to strongly transform itself to improve the effectiveness of state management of customs, ensuring effective, efficient, smooth, transparent operations, meeting the requirements of socio -economic development.

The leaders of the Customs Department directed units to urgently stabilize the organizational structure and complete the arrangement of personnel at positions and work departments to operate under the new management model from March 15.

During the implementation of the new apparatus model, customs procedures for exported and imported goods; means of transport exiting, entering and transiting the country will still be carried out according to the codes and locations for customs procedures previously announced (now border gate/outside border gate customs) and according to the provisions of the Customs Law and related legal documents to ensure smooth operation of units, normal customs clearance of exported and imported goods, without interruption of work.
