Cross Rock Mountain, a natural rock massif in the middle of a flat field in Phu Dien commune, is a famous scenic spot in Tan Phu district in the south of Dong Nai province, about 130 km from Ho Chi Minh City, and is an ideal destination for weekend picnics.
Locals often call it “Elephant Rock” because its shape resembles a giant elephant sleeping in the middle of the rice fields. From afar, tourists can easily recognize the distinctive gray monolithic rock, standing out among the endless green of the rice fields.
