Vice Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee Phan Thai Binh attended and delivered a speech at the groundbreaking ceremony. Vice Chairman of the City People's Council Tran Xuan Vinh; Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of the City Party Committee Huynh Thi Thuy Dung and Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city Nguyen Phi Hung attended.
This is a project under the Compensation, Support and Resettlement (R&R) Sub-project serving the High-Speed Railway Project on the North-South axis from Thu Bon River to the North to the boundary of Da Nang city, belonging to Group C project, level III technical infrastructure project.
The project is expected to build 115 resettlement plots with synchronous infrastructure of traffic, electricity, water, drainage, lighting, trees, fire prevention and fighting, and communication with a total area of nearly 47,000m². The total investment of the project is more than 76.1 billion VND, construction period is 15 months.
The investor and project operator is the Danang Project Management Board for Investment and Construction of Transport and Agricultural Works. The construction contractor is DACINCO Construction Investment Company Limited.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Phan Thai Binh emphasized that the North-South high-speed railway project is the dream and aspiration of many generations, which is now gradually becoming a reality. When completed, the project will connect the whole country, shorten the time, improve transport capacity, reduce pressure on road traffic, promote sustainable socio-economic development; at the same time, affirm the will and strategic vision of our Party and State in the cause of industrialization and modernization of the country.
When completed, the project will ensure stable, civilized and modern housing for affected people, while expanding urban space, creating new development momentum for the northern area of the city.
“I request the Management Board of Investment and Construction Projects for Transport and Agricultural Works in Da Nang to promote a high sense of responsibility, organize and manage scientifically and closely, closely follow progress, and resolutely ensure quality. Construction units mobilize maximum human resources and machinery, strictly implement commitments, ensure technical, aesthetic, safety and progress.
Departments, branches and localities coordinate synchronously, promptly resolve difficulties, create the most favorable conditions for the project; at the same time, hope that people in the project area continue to share and agree so that the project can be completed soon, bringing long-term benefits to the community", the Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee emphasized.
