Da Nang: Cyclo applies artificial intelligence to serve tourists

DNVN - At the announcement of the tourism stimulus program for the last months of 2025 on August 16, the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center introduced the Cyclo Team using Auto Guide to convey information about the city's attractions.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Tham - Director of Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center said that the Da Nang Cyclo Tour Team has just put into operation Auto Guide (automatic commentary integrated with artificial intelligence). This is a harmonious combination between the experience of a traditional means of transport, the cyclo, and the application of modern technology to convey information about the city's attractions.

Introducing XLDL Auto Guide application at the announcement ceremony of Da Nang tourism stimulus program for the last months of 2025 on August 16.

The tour itinerary by XLDL using Auto Guide includes APEC Park - a symbolic space of international connection; Dragon Bridge - a symbol of architecture and tourism in Da Nang; Han River and Han River Bridge - a unique rotating bridge in the heart of the city; Han Market - a famous shopping spot for specialties; Da Nang Museum - a place to preserve historical and cultural values; Cathedral - an ancient architecture with European influences.

With the Auto Guide system, each tourist is equipped with a separate device and headset. Thanks to GPS positioning technology, the device will automatically activate the commentary every time the car passes by a tourist attraction. At the same time, tourists can interact with the AI ​​chatbot integrated in the device's application to learn more about the tourist attractions.

Sitting on the XLDL Auto Guide, visitors not only admire Da Nang City but also listen to lively and interesting stories about each sightseeing spot, about the history, culture and people of Da Nang as soon as the car starts. In particular, Auto Guide supports more than 15 languages: Vietnamese, English, Korean, Chinese, Japanese... bringing a journey to discover the coastal city that is close, convenient and full of emotions.

From now until September 15, tourists will be able to use the multilingual Auto Guide for free when booking the XLDL “Discover Da Nang” tour. Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Tham shared: “We believe that this new product will bring a unique and memorable journey to tourists and open up opportunities for effective cooperation between the XLDL Da Nang Team and travel agencies”.

The Da Nang XLDL Team was established in 2003, directly managed by the City Tourism Promotion Center. This is an interesting form of street tourism in the system of tours and sightseeing spots in Da Nang city for over 20 years, with a polite, civilized, enthusiastic service style, without fighting or soliciting customers.

The fleet of 83 XLDL vehicles is very fashionable, uniform in style, color, and size; the entire chassis is made of stainless steel, has red cushions and roofs, and is always maintained and kept clean. The members of the Da Nang XLDL Team meet health standards, understand traffic laws, foreign languages, and have knowledge of tourist attractions in Da Nang city.

Every year, all members of the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Team participate in foreign language training courses, knowledge and skills on civilized behavior in serving tourists organized by the City Tourism Promotion Center.
