On the afternoon of September 24, at the National Assembly House, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Vu Hong Thanh attended a group discussion session with the delegation of the Party Committee of the Ethnic Council, contributing comments to the draft documents to be submitted to the 1st National Assembly Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030 and the 14th National Party Congress.

In his opening speech, Party Central Committee member, Standing Committee member of the National Assembly Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Vu Hong Thanh suggested a number of contents asking delegates to focus on giving comments on the private economy and state economy in the draft document.

In particular, state-owned enterprises continue to be identified as playing a core role, due to their great contribution to the economy, budget collection, job creation, scientific and technological innovation, and social security. Therefore, in the coming term, it is necessary to continue to have timely policies to support, honor, and encourage the development of state-owned enterprises.

The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly also suggested that we should not only pay attention to and strengthen supervision of the implementation of credit policies according to market mechanisms, manage the gold market... but also update issues related to the real estate market, stock market...

Participating in giving comments on the draft Political Report to be submitted to the 1st National Assembly Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030, Vice Chairwoman of the Ethnic Council Cao Thi Xuan said that it is necessary to evaluate and supplement the tasks and roles of the state audit sector, including its role in the activities of the National Assembly, especially in supervision, deciding on important issues, questioning, explaining... Audit results need to promptly serve the activities of the National Assembly, the National Assembly Standing Committee and National Assembly deputies.

The Vice Chairman of the Nationalities Council also suggested that when evaluating the causes of the achieved results, it is necessary to supplement, emphasize and clearly demonstrate the National Assembly's desire for innovation as well as the causes of limitations; and supplement the assessment of coordination between agencies inside and outside the National Assembly.

Accordingly, agencies need to improve the quality and progress of the agencies submitting, the agencies presiding over the review and participating in the review of draft laws. At the same time, synchronous and effective innovation is needed from the stages of research, development, consultation, etc. to perfect the draft law, ensuring the full institutionalization of the resolutions of the Central Committee and the Politburo.

According to Leo Thi Lich, a full-time National Assembly member of the Ethnic Council, there should be additional solutions to improve the quality of full-time National Assembly representatives. This is a key step that determines the quality and innovation, and improves the efficiency of the National Assembly's operations. Specifically, there should be appropriate policies and regimes to ensure attracting full-time ethnic minority representatives and officials to work in the National Assembly.

Basically agreeing with the draft Political Report submitted to the National Assembly Party Congress, delegates unanimously agreed that the draft content is scientifically, logically, and comprehensively structured; reflects comprehensively, deeply, and honestly the activities of the National Assembly Party Committee during the 2020-2025 term; sets out directions for the 2025-2030 term, closely following the Party's policies, and in line with the current practical situation of the country.

Concluding the meeting, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Ethnic Council Lam Van Man highly appreciated the intellectual and profound contributions of the delegates; requested that the Secretariat absorb as much as possible, synthesize them and send them to the Document Subcommittee for further study, absorption and completion to report to the Congress at the official session taking place tomorrow morning, September 25.
