Colonel Le Huy re-elected Secretary of the Party Committee of Coast Guard Region 2

(NLDO) - Colonel Le Huy, Secretary of the Party Committee of Coast Guard Region 2 for the 2020-2025 term, was elected as Secretary of the Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.

On June 25 and 26, in Nui Thanh district ( Quang Nam province), the 5th Congress of the Party Committee of Coast Guard Region 2, term 2025 - 2030, took place. Lieutenant General Le Quang Dao - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Commander of the Vietnam Coast Guard attended and directed the Congress.

The Congress listened to Colonel Le Huy - Party Secretary, Political Commissar of Coast Guard Region 2, on behalf of the Congress Presidium, present a political report. In which, it was assessed that in the 2020 - 2025 term, the Party Committee thoroughly grasped and seriously implemented the Party's resolutions and directives; closely followed the functions and tasks, promoted the spirit of solidarity, had many innovations and creativity in performing key political tasks.

The Regional Party Committee has had many policies and measures to lead and direct, and comprehensively complete the goals and tasks set forth in the Resolution of the 4th Regional Party Congress. Notable among them are the tasks of fighting to protect the sovereignty of seas and islands; the tasks of propagating and repelling foreign fishing vessels that violate Vietnam's waters.

Congress to elect the Party Executive Committee for the 2025-2030 term

The Regional Command has regularly grasped the situation, given many advices and suggestions to the Vietnam Coast Guard to successfully handle situations at sea, avoiding being passive and surprised.

During the past term, the Regional Party Committee has led the implementation of combat readiness work well, the unit regularly and strictly maintained its forces and means ready to carry out all training, drills, search and rescue, combat crimes and violations; prevent IUU fishing; Coast Guard foreign affairs, mass mobilization work, propaganda and dissemination of law education. Party building work has been maintained; the leadership capacity and fighting strength of Party committees and organizations at all levels in the entire Party Committee have been enhanced.

Lieutenant General Le Quang Dao - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Commander of the Vietnam Coast Guard congratulated the Executive Committee of the Party Committee of Coast Guard Region 2 for the 2025 - 2030 term and the Delegation attending the 6th Congress of the Vietnam Coast Guard Party Committee.

The Congress sets out the direction, goals, tasks, and leadership solutions for the 2025-2030 term, focusing on the work of grasping, assessing, and correctly forecasting the situation; promptly advising the Party Committee and the Chief of the Vietnam Coast Guard to effectively and legally handle situations at sea, avoiding being passive or surprised. Leading the building of a comprehensively strong Regional Command "Exemplary, typical", and a clean, strong, and typical Regional Party Committee.

Maintain strict combat readiness, determined to firmly protect sovereignty over seas and islands; maintain political security, social order and safety, ensure national security and perform well the work of maintaining law enforcement, search and rescue, and protecting the marine environment.

Colonel Le Huy - Party Secretary, Political Commissar of Coast Guard Region 2 for the 2020-2025 term, was elected as Party Secretary of Coast Guard Region 2 for the 2025-2030 term.

Speaking at the congress, Lieutenant General Le Quang Dao, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Commander of the Vietnam Coast Guard, highly appreciated the results of the leadership and direction of the implementation of the resolution of the 4th Congress of the Party Committee of Coast Guard Region 2, term 2020 - 2025, and the preparation and implementation of the 5th Congress of the Party Committee of Coast Guard Region 2.

The Congress elected the Executive Committee of the Coast Guard Region 2 Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term, consisting of 15 members, and elected a delegation to attend the 6th Congress of the Vietnam Coast Guard Party Committee, consisting of 22 official delegates and 2 alternate delegates.

Colonel Le Huy - Party Secretary, Political Commissar of Coast Guard Region 2 for the 2020-2025 term, was elected as Party Secretary of Coast Guard Region 2 for the 2025-2030 term.
